Future News - Earth's interior rich with quintillions of diamonds, New fiery view of Milky Way's Center, Ten More Jovian Moons Discovered, New Study Shows Eating Fat only Cause of Weight Gain, 256 TB SD Cards, Dr. Duncan McCollum joins us for the news.

Listen Now to Future News 7.17.2018

Wow, ten new moons around Jupiter, including one that is orbiting in the opposite direction of all the others, just asking for a collision, not unlike driving on the wrong side of the freeway! And back home, acoustic research suggests we have quintillions of diamonds below the Earth’s Mantle, amazing. But we’d have to travel a hundred miles beneath the surface to get them.  Sounds straightforward, but we’ve never achieved anything close to that as yet..but if we do, we’d be as rich as the fabled asteroid miners of the near future, and their Luxenborgian backers (another intriquing story this week). Enjoy!

Future News - Thai Coach taught Meditation to Boys in Cave, Elon's Rescue Sub, Youtube's Latest Answer to Fake News, Medical Pot Big Hit with Seniors, Blind Robot overcomes many Obstacles, Plastic Roads Curbing Waste Epidemic, UFO Sightings Down, Electric Planes Up, Neanderthal Minibrains Studied, Saturn 'Speaks' to Enceladus, Digital Nomads and Paradise Living Options

Listen Now to Future News 7.10.2018

It was quite exciting to hear of the successful rescue of the Wild Boars Soccer team from the cave in Thailand this week; and it was especially interesting that the boys had learned meditation from their coach, who had spent 10 of his 25 years in a Buddhist monastery.  We also found Elon Musk’s quick design of a rescue submarine for the team fascinating.  And I think you’ll find our other stories this week also quite engaging, including Mrs. Future’s personal recollection of her dad’s discussion of UFOs with Dr. Future, and the spooky plasma music traveling from Saturn to it’s weirdest moon, Enceladus. Enjoy!

Interview - Gabrielle Cianfrani on the Future of Politics

Listen Now to Gabrielle Cianfrani

The future of politics? Does politics even have a future? From a deeply political Pennsylvania family, Gabrielle has a unique view of politics from the inside view of a Senator’s daughter, and as someone who  at first genuinely believed that our political system served the people. But after many years of serving as a legislative assistant to the head state democratic finance manager, she now believes campaign finance rerform should be front and center in any political future worth living. Special interest lobbies without massive financing evens the playing field. And the power of govenment returns to the interests of the constituency.

And the Internet? Consider that computer networks can easily be perfect socialists when it comes to distributing the wealth. And beyond that, enjoy the show!
