Certainly the most promising story this week is the Israeli research on reverse aging, the aging process has been biologically reversed for the first time by giving humans oxygen therapy in a pressurised chamber. The researchers claim that telemere length, a key measure of the aging process, shows a lengthing equivalent to 25 years younger for the average subject in the experiment, over a period of three months. Truly remarkable!
It was very sad to hear of the demise of the iconic 1000-foot Arecibo radio astronomy dish in Puerto Rico, the end of an era of pioneering research into the electromagnetic mysteries of the universe. It was uplifting, however, to cover the successes of Jo Ben Bevirt of Joby Aviation, a ‘local boy done good’ in creating actual flying cars, a dream of humanity since the dawn of time.
