Dr. Brian Buma, Disturbance EcologistWe have a very engaging and fun interview this week with Dr. Brian Buma, a ‘Disturbance Ecologist,’ and author of the new book, “An Atlas of the Changing Climate.” The book is a beautiful collection of maps of the planet, many from National Geographic, giving you a global view of the planet and its complex ecosystems. Dr. Buma shares with us his adventures to the tip of South America, studying the southern most trees in the world, and Alaska, looking at how the northern treeline is changing. He speaks to many of our listeners about their concerns and beliefs about climate change, and has great way of translating scientific information into something the lay public can grok. Enjoy!
